The Company
2009: a happy intuition will be….10 years old!

Conceived, realized and patented by a known professional coming from Bergamo (Italy) that has two great passions: the sea and sailing. And so has SWEETAIL come into being the mooring shock absorber that allows to “live" and protect boats long up to 46 meters.

Who knows it already and has tried it on his own boat, would not probably change it with any other present on the market. Who has seen it working on the friend’s boats or neighbour’s bench, has often become owner of it, inclined to the purchase for the appreciate and unbelievable dowries of this unique accessory, fruit of the Italian genius and totally made in Italy in spite of its name: SWEETAIL.

A known name more and more famous and appreciated, synonymous of quality and beauty, that was born ten years ago. It is in 1999, in fact, that a known professional in Bergamo, although active in a different sector, follows his own passion for the sea "amusing himself" in the study of a device that can allow a sure and silent mooring.

The careful analysis of the problems typical of the sea environment and the notable technical knowledges of the inventor, bring to individualize the only materials to employ for getting the preset results: steel AISI 316E and rubber. And from such materials originates a mix of, functionality and beauty that, combined with particular technical characteristics, make immediately SWEETAIL unique and insuperable.

The intuition that is based on , so simple to make it genial, has behaved therefore the abandonment of the traditional and obsolete systems such as rubber band or oil pump, centralizing the attention on the strong amortization abilities proper of the rubber. So are cup rubbers, of different dimensions from model to model, that guarantee such amortization.

Silence, power and consequent safety are assured from the exclusive use of steel AISI 316E for the realization of all parts in metal, and from the fact that such parts longitudinally work (and not in torsion like rubber bands!) unloading the greatest activity on the "cups" in rubber.

They are all solutions that raise the loads of break up to the point to make unique SWEETAIL for possibility of employment: among the mooring shock absorbers currently in commerce, in fact, only SWEETAIL can be used for motor long boats up to 40 meters (46 if for sailing).

To understand the oneness of this innovative product is the knowledge of it’s of production cycle, entirely based on the wise handicraft workmanship of every single shock absorber. Once you have all the components, in fact, starts the delicate phase of the manual assemblage and the finish of every single piece . The cycle ends with a severe test of resistance, effected with an almost double solicitation in comparison to that for which the shock absorber will be introduced then on the market. A fundamental test to be able to guarantee also the safety of the mooring under the more adverse conditions of sea.

Also is this a choice that, for how much can appear against current in an epoch of inclined automatic cycle and robot "intelligence", it finds justification in the determination to always guarantee the most elevated qualitative standard.

And so, today SWEETAIL is found on the most beautiful and precious boats that circulate sail the whole world, almost as a status symbol thanks to its ability to differentiate itself from every other product with analogous functions present on the market. it cannot be forgotten, after all, that SWEETAIL is not only a functional accessory, but also beautiful and elegant.
